  • Always insert aligners onto clean, dry teeth.
  • Start with the back teeth and work your way forward.
  • Use gentle, even pressure to push the aligners into place.
  • Wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day, as prescribed by your orthodontist.
  • Remove aligners only for eating, drinking (water is usually acceptable) and oral hygiene.
  • Remove aligners before eating to prevent damage.
  • Avoid drinking sugary or colored drinks while wearing aligners to prevent staining.
  • Brush and floss your teeth after every meal before reattaching your aligners.
  • Clean your aligners regularly using a soft toothbrush and clear antibacterial soap or cleaning crystals provided.
  • As instructed by your orthodontist, change to the next set of Wavy aligners on the prescribed schedule.
